Customization

Among the innovations of ColorOS 11 most appreciated by users there are certainly those relating to customization. OPPO has implemented a new one on the new user interface Customizable Dark Mode which allows you to choose between three different color accents from absolute black to a lighter shade, and with the possibility of choosing the times in which to activate this customization.

Even for the Always-On mode there are new customization options: with ColorOS 11 you can add custom text and set an image by drawing a kaleidoscope effect. An option has also been introduced to use a photo in order to create colorful geometric backgrounds: it will be the smartphone that will take care of obtaining the best result automatically.
Translation with 3 fingers

It seems that on ColorOS 11 there is greater integration with Google services and a new feature testifies to this: the translation with 3 fingers. OPPO users can enable automatic translation of the text on the display with the screenshot gesture with 3 fingers (just swipe with 3 fingers). The function opens Google Lens to translate the text shown on the screen.
Ringtones laboratory
Thanks to the new lab ringtone, users will be able to create new ringtones by customizing the pace, speed and other details. In this way it will be possible to create unique ringtones for your smartphone by composing them from scratch. Not a small novelty and something very original.
Chained notification sounds
Every day you get to receive thousands of notifications on your smartphone and it is difficult to distinguish them, especially when they arrive in a short time. With the concatenation of notifications, OPPO makes life easier for users by changing the note of consecutive notifications arriving from the same application by creating a real melody. Something great especially in chats, from which messages (and therefore notifications) often arrive in profusion.
Super Power Saving Mode

The Super Power Saving Mode of ColorOS 11 improves the energy saving for extend the battery life with different settings for customization. You can choose up to 6 apps to continue using when the battery is low, closing all the rest to make the battery last longer.
Battery Guard
Battery Guard is a feature to preserve the battery in the long run. When charging at night, Battery Guard automatically stops charging to 80% and restarts it later to find the smartphone fully charged when the user wakes up, avoiding having to recharge it unnecessarily after the completion of the recharge.
OPPO Relax 2.0

OPPO Relax, the app created to relax users, goes to version 2.0. Users will be able to select new sounds to relax within one map of the planet Earth, managing to easily select melodies "coming" from certain countries or ethnic groups.
FlexDrop

To enhance the experience in Multi-tasking OPPO has created FlexDrop: a function that allows you to start applications in the window with the possibility of holding more than one app open simultaneously on the screen. FlexDrop will not be available on ColorOS 11 immediately but will arrive in October.
Performance: UI First 2.0 arrives

Performance improvements have always been among the cornerstones of OPPO's major updates. And also on ColorOS 11 there will be many. With UI First 2.0 the smartphone will be able to make more use of the RAM to reduce delays. Thanks to UI First 2.0 the RAM usage increases by 45% and at the same time the response rate and frame rate stability they increased by 32% and 17% respectively. All for greater fluidity, more autonomy and greater privacy protection.
Privacy and security

Speaking of privacy and security, ColorOS 11 adds the mode to the software compartment Private System which duplicates applications and data by creating a copy independent of the original and accessible through the most common authentication methods (fingerprint reader and password). OPPO has also added a new shortcut for App Lock which is used to lock apps with a password, fingerprint or facial recognition, and has renewed the permissions system by introducing the possibility of granting temporary access to the camera, microphone and location.
There is also the auto-reset of permissions which returns them to their default values if you don't use the app for a long time. Scoped Storage prevents apps from accessing phone and other app data without user permission.
What's new in Android 11
Being a user interface based on Android 11, the ColorOS 11 also introduces the novelties that Google implemented on Android 11. Among these we find the home automation controls in the shutdown menu, one-time permissions, automatic reset of permissions and the introduction of Google Discovery in the side menu accessible from the Home screen.
