OPPO Reno4 Pro 5G and Find X2 Neo ended up under the lens of DxOMark: the famous portal that for a long time has served as a reference point for all the laymen who want to know the performance of smartphone cameras. While Find X2 Pro had achieved amazing scores by placing itself at the top of the camera phone ranking, these two mid-range models did not have the same fate.
The opinions of DxOMark on the photographic sector of OPPO Reno4 Pro 5G are a bit mixed: while it proved to be an excellent camera phone in some respects, on the other hand it disappointed in tests and this caused its scores to drop. The smartphone achieved an overall score of 108 points, a far cry from the 126 points of the Find X2 Pro.
Its triple 48 + 13 + 12 Megapixel telephoto camera proved to be excellent in terms of dynamic range in indoor shots, guaranteed an excellent level of detail in good light conditions and precise autofocus.
But in low light, low exposure emerged, as well as halos, ghosting and artifacts. Very good white balance and colors during video recording, with high detail on the faces, accurate exposure and excellent stabilization. On the other hand, digital noise is bad due to a limited dynamic range. The performances are therefore dependent on the situation, they can be excellent or little more than enough, according to DxOMark.
In the video field, OPPO Reno4 Pro 5G manages to achieve better results than photos. He couldn't do better Find the X2 Neo, which has settled on 105 points. After all, the two photographic compartments are not very different (for Find X2 Neo we have a quadruple camera from 48 + 13 + 8 + 2 Megapixel). In both cases we are at a good level, but far from top camera phones.
