All eyes are on the Find X3 series unveiling event set for today, but apparently that's not the only surprise OPPO has in store for the first half of 2021 and it shouldn't even be the only series containing top of the range. According to the latest rumors from China and specifically from a well-known blogger, the company will launch its first foldable smartphone in the second quarter of 2021.
According to the most plausible hypotheses, the OPPO leaflet will be unveiled to the world as early as April. The foldable will be equipped with a 7,7-inch foldable display which will make it take on the size of a tablet when open. This screen would be positioned on the inside, while outside the smartphone there would be a external display with a diagonal between 1,5 and 2 inches.
The folding screen, which will be of type OLED, is manufactured by Samsung Display, which this year will also supply folding screens to other manufacturers such as Xiaomi and Google. As you may have already guessed, the incoming device will not be extendable smartphone OPPO
With the aforementioned features, the device will be able to compete with models of the caliber of Huawei Mate X2 (launched in the motherland a few days ago) and the successor of Galaxy Z Fold 2. OPPO will also be able to dominate this market segment that has not yet become mainstream at the consumer level? Posterity will judge.
