Just 3 months after the launch of OPPO A52 in Italy, its successor is already official: the Chinese giant has just launched OPPO A53 2020, for now only in Indonesia. The smartphone is offered in two colors: Electric Black and Fancy Blue with polycarbonate shell. But what are its technical characteristics? First of all it is good to mention that it is the first smartphone in the world with Snapdragon 460: one of Qualcomm's most entry-level processors.
The chipset is combined with 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal memory expandable with micro SD. The display is 6,5 inches and has only HD + resolution, however it has a high refresh rate at 90 Hz. It's punch-hole type and houses a 16MP front camera, while there's one on the back triple 12, 2 and 2 megapixel cameras (with macro and depth sensor) and a fingerprint reader.
The operating system installed is Android 10 customized by ColorOS 7.2, while the battery is from 5000 mAh and recharges with an 18W USB-C port. Pre-orders in Indonesia have already started and availability is set for August 26, with a list price of approximately €143 at the current exchange rate. Expansion into other markets including India is expected in the coming days. We do not know if and when OPPO A53 2020 will arrive in Italy.
