Despite the problems caused by the pandemic, OPPO's advance in 2020 has been unstoppable around the world. And in the mother country, the manufacturer managed to close the year with a flourish by placing itself at first place among smartphone manufacturers in China in the last week of 2020. The company recorded revenues of 1,386 million units sold in the fifty-first and final week of the year.
Across China, in the last week of 2020, 6,3 million smartphones were sold: 22% of them were from OPPO. The credit for this great success is mainly due to the launch of the Reno5 series, consisting of Reno5, Reno5 Pro and Reno5 Pro +. The first two devices of the line-up were launched on 10 December and achieved a double record on 3 of the main online stores in China.
The two devices will arrive in Europe under the OPPO Find X3 series: they will most likely be called Find X3 Lite and Neo and will be announced for the European market in March 2021, and then go on sale in early April. Among their specs are Snapdragon 765G and Dimensity 1000+ processors, as well as great AMOLED displays and 65W fast charging. The Pro +, equipped with Snapdragon 865, the new 766 Megapixel Sony IMX50 camera and an electrochromic glass that changes color after a double tap, should instead remain an exclusive for China.
