A few months ago it was rumored that OPPO intended to eliminate the Ace series, which has two top-of-the-range smartphones that, however, aim at value for money, otherwise known as flagship killer. According to the latest rumors, OPPO has in mind to do something much smarter: pass the Ace brand in Realme. It would actually make much more sense, given that this brand deals precisely with smartphones focused on value for money (just think of the top of the range of the X series).
The rumor about the passage of the Ace series from OPPO to Realme comes from the reliable leakster Digital Chat Station, is not officially confirmed but the chances of this happening are high. It is expected that the first device in the line-up after the passage of witnesses will be a top of the range and that will have Qualcomm's latest flagship processor. Realme's CEO confirmed on Twitter that his smartphone is on the way with Snapdragon 888 on board (this is the real name of the chip formerly known as Snapdragon 875) presented today.
It remains only to confirm whether it will be part of the Ace series or the X series. The brand was among other things the first to announce the arrival of a phone with this processor. Among the other technical specifications of the new device, the new one is also planned UltraDart 125W fast charge. For now there is no further information on this mysterious device, but given that it will probably be the main top of the range of the brand at least for the first part of 2021, we expect really interesting features including an AMOLED display with high refresh rate, all always. with an eye to the price.
