A few days after the official presentation of the OPPO Reno5 series, details have emerged that confirm that it will not be the usual mid-range series that aim at value for money. Thanks to the more advanced variant of the line-up, which will take the name of Reno5 Pro + 5G, it seems that OPPO will bring something truly innovative to the market, as well as top-of-the-range specifications.
According to reliable sources, the Reno Pro + will be the first smartphone in the world to be marketed with a electrochromic glass. We have seen a similar solution used on the OnePlus Concept One, equipped with a glass capable of darkening to hide the cameras. However, it is precisely a concept and it is not a device that went into mass production, nor arrived on the market. With the new top of the OPPO range of which a render has also appeared, however, things change. It also seems that it will be the first smartphone with a Sony IMX7xx series sensor, which will have a resolution of 50 Megapixel.
Also on board would be a 12 MP telephoto lens with 2x optical zoom and a 16 Megapixel wide angle lens. In the image you can see a fourth sensor with a square shape like periscope lenses, but its purpose is not yet known. Among the features of the most advanced variant of the new series there will also be a processor Snapdragon 865. While Reno5 and 5 Pro have already gone to pre-order in China, we just have to wait the December 10th release to discover the rest of the technical data sheet of this model as interesting as it is shrouded in mystery.
