The Reno5 series announced two weeks ago he still hadn't said everything he had to say regarding the high end. Today, in an event dedicated only to him, OPPO presented in China OPPO Reno5 Pro +: the variant top of the range of the line-up characterized by a technical sheet pushed to the maximum.
A device that seeks to border on perfection in the world of smartphones and which was also launched in a special Artist Limited Edition designed by the designer Joshua Vides with a revolutionary body in electrochromic glass from 0,15 mm capable of change color after a double tap. But OPPO Reno5 Pro + is not only revolutionary on an aesthetic level: the smartphone is also one of the most impressive camera phones in the entire market.
This is the first smartphone to mount the new sensor Sony IMX766, made by Sony in collaboration with OPPO itself and equipped with a resolution of 50 Megapixel. The new sensor is capable of capturing 63,8% more light than the IMX586 that the predecessor Reno4 Pro is equipped with, supports OIS and has an f / 1.8 aperture. Along with the main sensor we also find a 13 Megapixel telephoto lens, a 16 MP wide angle lens, a 2 MP macro sensor and a color spectrum sensor.
On the front, in a hole in the display, there is a 32 Megapixel selfie camera. Speaking of displays, it's a panel AMOLED 6,55-inch curved with Full HD + resolution, 90 Hz refresh rate, 180 Hz touch sample rate, 20: 9 aspect ratio, in-display fingerprint reader and peak brightness up to 1100 nits.
Under the body there is a processor Snapdragon 865 which makes it a true top of the range, accompanied by 12 GB of RAM and 128 or 256 GB of UFS 3.1 internal memory. OPPO Reno5 Pro + runs custom Android 11 from ColorOS 11 and has Dolby Atmos stereo speakers. The battery has a capacity of 4500 mAh and supports 65W fast charging and reverse charging.
OPPO Reno5 Pro + will be available in China in black and blue colors with pre-orders starting from January 18 and sales from January 22. The price for the 8/128 GB configuration will be approximately EUR 500 at the current exchange rate, while the 12/256 GB version will cost around 566 euros.
