During the OPPO Developers Conference (ODC) just held in China, it was officially announced OPPO Watch ECG Edition for the Chinese market. Personalized with the Color OS Watch, it is the first Wear OS-based smartwatch to be equipped with the electrocardiogram function. One of the most useful features for health monitoring but so far linked to some Samsung, Apple and Fitbit models.
OPPO Watch ECG, variant of the first smartwatch of the manufacturer already marketed for some time but not yet available in Italy, was launched in China in the 46 mm version, with stainless steel case and ceramic and sapphire back. The wearable has a weight of 45,5 grams, measures 46 x 39 x 11,35 mm and is equipped with a silicone strap.
It supports one professional ECG function which is capable of making medical grade measurements in terms of accuracy and detecting common cardiac abnormalities including the atrial fibrillation, the premature beats and tachycardia supraventricular. In addition to monitoring the heartbeat in real time, it is able to alert the user through a vibration when it detects abnormal cardiac activity.
It connects to a smartphone app that can suggest a plan for the improvement of heart conditions. Among other specs it has a 1,91-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 402 x 476 pixels and 3% DCI-P100 coverage. Powered by the Snapdragon Wear 2500 processor, it combines 1 GB of RAM with 8 GB of internal memory and has a 430 mAh battery that lasts 40 hours with normal use and up to 21 days in power saving mode. It recharges very quickly thanks to technology VOOC Flash Charge: using fast charging you only need 15 minutes to get to 100%.
Connectivity side, OPPO Watch ECG is equipped with Bluetooth 4.2 LE, WiFi 2.4 and GPS. It is waterproof up to 5 ATM and integrates the Breeno voice assistant. In China it was marketed at a price equivalent to approx €315 at the current exchange rate. There is still no information regarding an arrival in Italy, but we remind you that OPPO Watch standard has already been announced for the our market and only needs to be made available for purchase.

OPPO TV coming in October
In addition to announcing Watch ECG, the manufacturer also announced its debut on the TV market. OPPO TV will be officially launched in October as part of its ecosystem. The smart TV has already been certified by the 3C and Bluetooth SIG bodies, which have revealed to us that it will be produced by TPV Display Technology (Xiamen) Co. LTd. which also produces panels for AOC, Envision and Philips TV. The TV will come in cuts from 55 and 65 inches and is identified by model codes RC-001D and BRC-004A. However, we still don't know anything about its technical characteristics.
