di Michael Frosty

If you believed that Realm 8 e 8 Pro were the only smartphones in the new Realme series you were wrong and perhaps you underestimated the situation. The Chinese brand will soon launch a new smartphone duo of the same line-up: we are talking about the versions with support for fifth generation networks. Realme 8 5G and 8 Pro 5G will be official on 21 and 22 April on the Asian market, specifically in Thailand and India.

Although from the recently published official video teaser it seems that they will have the same design, Realme 8 5G and 8 Pro 5G will not differ from the 4G versions only for connectivity, but also for other technical specifications. According to the certification arrived from the FCC, the standard version will have the dimensions of 162,25 x 74,8 x 8,5 mm, the Android 11 operating system and a battery from 5000 mAh.

According to rumors, Realme 8 5G will also have a processor MediaTek Dimension 700, a slight step back from Realme 7 5G from a hardware point of view. As for the Pro variant, according to rumors it should arrive on the market with the Qualcomm processor Snapdragon 750G or with MediaTek Dimensions 800U. Both devices should have a display AMOLED, considering that 4G versions also have an OLED panel.

A third smartphone could also be launched in India: the Realme 8i, which will be the cheapest variant of the entire 8 series. For the moment no information regarding a launch in Europe, in which the 4G version of the 8 Pro has just arrived.
