Realme updates Narzo 20 to Android 11: it is only one of the first, but ...

di Patricia Maimone

Good news for all smartphone owners Realme narzo 20. The device, in fact, is receiving, for the moment only in India, the update to Realme UI 2.0 based on Android 11. This is not a beta version but the stable version of the new interface which therefore brings significant improvements to the user experience. Let's see some of the main news and some important tips on what to do in order to receive this important update which, of course, will arrive soon also from us.

Realme Narzo 20, improves the UX

The new interface that is making its way onto the Realme Narzo 20 promises to bring several new features to this device. We are talking about a completely renewed design as well as several additional functions that integrate with those already present improving the UX in a not indifferent way.

Realme Narzo 20 is not the first device to receive the stable version of Realme UI 2.0. The same "fate", in fact, was touched at the end of 2020 to the X50 Pro 5G whose users have already been able to test its potential. The bugs found in the testing phase have apparently been overcome and concerned, for example, we recall, possible slowdowns during the scrolling movements of the display.

Update underway in India, will be extended soon

The update of Realme Narzo 20 to the new interface it is only affecting India, at least at present. The version of the firmware is RMX2193_11.C.06 and is now only affecting some users. This is the first phase that will continue, in the absence of bugs, with a second phase in which the update will be extended to a wider audience of users.

The update is only available for those who already have Realme UI 1.0. It is advisable, once you have received the notification over the air, to make a backup of the smartphone and proceed, only afterwards, to the installation of the new user interface. If, at least initially, Realme 2.0 is not pleasant (or in case of problems of any kind) it will be allowed go back to the previous version. More information will be available in the coming months when the update is globally available.

The update situation: Realme X7 among the next, but it goes slowly

It is certainly to be appreciated that the manufacturer has updated the Narzo 20 to Android 11, however it remains one of the first devices to receive the update in India (specifically the second), and the situation in Europe is even worse. The other brands are definitely ahead: just think that OPPO has updated many smartphones to Android 11 in India and many models have already received ColorOS 11 in Europe.

News has arrived that among the next smartphones of the brand to receive Android 11 there will be Realme X7 and X7 Pro, however, despite being part of a flagship series, they will begin receiving the beta only in the second quarter of 2021. The X50 Pro is instead the only smartphone of the brand that has received the update in Europe. In short, the company had started very well by updating its devices to Android 10 even before OPPO, but at the moment the situation seems to have reversed.

Knowing the brand we are sure that there will be improvements in the future and a rapid realignment with the competition is not unlikely: the surprise update of Narzo 20 could be the first step forward.
