Realme UI 2.0 is official: news, times and update list

The new version of Realme's customization based on Android 11 is official and was presented on the same day as the presentation of the Narzo 20 series and entry-level C17. There Realme UI 2.0 based on Android 11 it looks a lot like OPPO's ColorOS 11 - there are just a few tweaks here and there. The manufacturer limited itself to unveiling the main innovations of the new user interface in the presentation event scheduled for September 21st, however much is already known thanks to the release of ColorOS 11 and changelog leaked from the beta. But let's examine the main new features illustrated by the Chinese giant.

Realme UI 2.0: the main news

New Always-On Mode

The Always-On Display mode is enhanced with the ability to set 5 themes and becomes the first personalization engine on the market that allows you to create unique Always-On patterns with a simple touch. The mode allows you to set kaleidoscopic effects, but also images and text to be displayed when the smartphone is off screen.

New styles for Dark Mode

Just like with the ColorOS 11, you can also select them with the Android 2.0 based Realme UI 11 3 different styles for Dark Mode which differ in the shade of gray: advanced, medium and gentle. Dark Mode is also capable of intelligently calibrating the contrast based on the ambient light surrounding the smartphone.

More customization for icons

With Realme UI 2.0 the icons can be further customized and match with fonts available on a store. Access to Android 11's interface design and notification bar is also provided to third-party launchers, for better customization and greater compatibility.

New features for privacy and security

Realme announced the Deep Sea Privacy Plan to increase privacy and security on their smartphones. It consists of the new Invisible Door, Private Space and Security Shield features that allow you to keep your personal data away from prying eyes and protect them from malicious people.

Floating window

With the floating window, the multi-tasking experience moves to a new level. Thanks to Realme UI 2.0 it will be possible open apps in a small floating window on display: very useful, for example, when you want to chat while continuing to watch a video. So no longer the classic split-screen with two apps, but something much more practical.

Realme UI 2.0: beta roadmap with smartphones and timing

Here is the list of smartphones with related timing update to Realme UI 2.0 and Android 11 in beta. For now, the information on the arrival times of the stable and definitive version are available only for X50 Pro. We also specify that the list is not definitive and may undergo changes.
